2. Competition Judging Criteria

1. GENERAL APPEARANCE
1.1
  Body Profile
 - Does not appear too thin or bloated.
1.2
  Health
 - Fish is healthy with no sign of sunken eyes, sunken belly, whitespot, fungus, cloudy eye, others
 - No sign of white / translucent feces
 - Eyes slightly protruding is ideal condition.

2. BODY, FINAGE CONDITION, COLOUR, MARKINGS / PATTERN
2.1
  Fins and Body
 - Tail fin with well formed extensions which are pointed and sharp.
(esp. for Pseudacanthicus class)
 - Tail fin with well formed extensions which are pointed and sharp.
(esp. for Pseudacanthicus class)
 - No fins must be torn or split.
 - Body Markings must be well defined & distinct, i.e, not blurred.
 - If no markings / pattern, colour should be even and deep.
2.2
  Colour
 - Attractiveness and intensity of colours:
Eg. Black must be dark, red/orange must be deep, yellow must be bright.
 - Colours must be bright and distinct and not dull or smudgy.

3. SHOW QUALITY
3.1
  Uniqueness
 - Colouration is intense and bright.
 - Patterns / Lines / Spots must be very distinct or unique.
 - Body or fin spines must be very spiky.
3.2
  Size
 - The bigger the better.
